When every brand was racing to 15 seconds, we went for 10 minutes and won.
the challenge:
The most engaged videos on tiktok run 15-30 seconds. Hilton asked us to challenge that — to get audiences on the most go-go-go-go platform on the internet to slow down and experience a stay at a Hilton.
The conventional wisdom said to shorten everything, we decided to flip it
the creative strategy:
Rather than a single polished branded video, the 10-minute ad was structured as a mashup of multiple trending content formats from food commentary to hotel hacks, and lifestyle moments — featuring multiple high profile creators.
It felt like five different videos in one, similar to the iconic christopher nolan movie, inception.
Through stitches, duets, and jump cuts, and the ad integrated seamlessly with native tiktok. It mimicked exactly how users already consume the platform, minus the scrolling.
The format was the strategy:
a Hilton stay is more than a place to sleep, so the ad had to be more than an informational clip. It had to be a full Hilton experience — delivered inside TikTok.
